INCEPTION :

The seeds for this reputed firm was sowed by our founder none other than (Late) Sri.P.K.Kandaswamy Chetty who was in this field from 1950, in the year 1965. His vision and courage had paved way for this reputed concern. His entrepreneurial acumen had made our firm to grow from scaffold to scaffold and from strength to strength. He was ably assisted by his three sons Sri.P.K.Shanmugam, Sri.P.K.Krishnamurthy and Sri.P.K.Shankar who eventually became the partners.

PAST EXPERIENCE :

Ever since the inception of the firm we have been dealing only with the main producers. Before taking up the distributorship of TATA Steelium we were dealing with TATA Agrico products and were dealing with SAIL as their MOU customer for their Cold Rolled products.

MANAGEMENT :

The partners under the leadership of Sri. P.K.Shanmugam who is the Vice President of the South India Iron & Hardware Merchants Association, along with Sri.P.K.Krishnamurthy involves in major business activities and have a full knowledge of the happenings of the firm. The TATA STEEL dealings are looked after by Sri.P.K.Sankar who has more than 30 years of experience in Purchases and also takes care of the sales at Coimbatore and Pondicherry.

Our Firm’s sales is looked after by Mr.P.S.S.SRIDHAR and Mr.P.K.RAJESH KUMAR who are none other than the sons of our Partners Sri.P.K.Shanmugam and Sri.P.K.Krishnamurthy. They take care of the entire sales at Rest of Tamil Nadu.

INFRASTRUCTURE :

We are well connected to both the main Iron & Steel Markets in Chennai at Park Town and George Town. Our head office is situated at 140, Rasappa Chetty Street, Park Town and our sales and marketing office is at 35, Jones Street, George Town. We also have sufficient lands allotted in the futuristic Iron & Steel Market, being planned at Sathankaadu near Manali by CMDA, at various strategic points, spread all over the upcoming complex. To serve our customers in and around Coimbatore we have opened a branch at 405 – B, Bharathiyar Road, New Sidhapudhur, Coimbatore – 641 044.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS :

We are proud to have been awarded the STAR DEALERSHIP Status since the introduction of the award by the TATA AGRICO Division. We have been given the No.1 Dealer in South India and THE SECOND BEST DEALER for the whole country in the year 1986 by TATA AGRICO Division.

We have been ranked as the TOP TEN CUSTOMERS by STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LTD., Chennai consecutively for the years 1997-98 and 1998-99.

We have been awarded the ‘EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE – RETAIL’ by TATA STEEL for the year 2006 – 2007.
